Marnix Verberne final exam, duo “Da Vai!” plays E. Bloch “Suite 1919” (archive)

Dear friends and music lovers!

Coming Wednesday, the 5th of June, 2019 I will play with Marnix Verberne Bloch “Suite 1919” in Codarts Conservatory Rotterdam.

Marnix Verberne is my friend and a great viola player. On Wednesday he has his final concert. I play with Marnix for several years and together we form a duo “Da Vai!”. “Suite 1919” is a part of Marnix’s final concert, has 4 movements:

• Lento-Allegro-Moderato
• Allegro ironico
• Lento
• Molto vivo

This lovely piece contains elements and motives of the Far East. It’s a romantic rethinking and vision of the composer faraway lands and countries.

Everyone is warm and heartedly welcome! The concert starts at 19:00 (Kruisplein 26, Rotterdam).
